From his home in Lewis, Scott C. Park has been processing the deconstruction and reconstruction of his spirituality through sharply written yet breezily performed alt-country songs about God, self-esteem, and his place in a world where each other’s love is all we’ve got. He and his band marry the jangly shuffle of Wilco and Pavement with detailed confessionals reminiscent of Elliott Smith. He will be performing songs from his debut album, which is due out later this year.
