El Sartel, a Scottish indie band from Skye and Lochalsh were formed in 2023. Starting off as a duo, El Sartel is now comprised of five talented musicians, who have quickly gained recognition locally in the Highlands and Islands for their unique blend of catchy indie-pop sounds with Scottish indie-rock influences.
The band's sound is characterized by infectious rhythms, catchy melodies, and introspective lyrics that touch on themes of love, identity, and life experiences. Drawing inspiration from a wide range of musical influences, including Scottish alternative-rock and indie music, El Sartel has created a sound that is both familiar and fresh. Their debut EP, 'No Explanation' was released at the end of 2023 and they have gone on to release a further 4 singles in 2024 (including a Christmas song) that showcases the band's range and versatility.
With a growing fan base in the Highlands and Islands, the band are poised to make an impact on the Scottish music scene in the central belt too and hope to expand their fan base outwith Scotland for all to enjoy their infectious music!
