The Hazey Janes

It’s safe to say The Hazey Janes have undergone their fair share of globetrotting in their ten plus years together, all the while refining their zig-zag path from country to psych to power-pop.

Since 2011’s The Winter That Was, the group’s third album, the quartet have undertaken some of their most rigorous and prestigious tours to date, opening as guests for Wilco, Deacon Blue which culminated in a sold out performance at London’s Royal Albert Hall and Belle & Sebastian amongst many.

Inspired and rejuvenated by their time in Spain, where their dates with Wilco concluded, the band ensconced themselves in the country’s South-west to record fourth album, Language of Faint Theory, returning to El Puerto De Santa Maria to collaborate with Paco Loco (The Posies, The Sadies, Josh Rouse) and John Agnello (Kurt Vile, Sonic Youth, The Hold Steady), the team that produced and mixed their debut, 2006’s critically lauded Hotel Radio.

Since then members have delved into solo projects, in Andrew’s case also touring with Idlewild, and are now concentrating on writing new HJ material. It’s with great pleasure that HebCelt provide a place to test out some new songs whilst ripping through a fabulous back catalogue.
